I have used psychological assessments for missionary candidates for 34 years. I get questions about what can be done in the interview process, how to do it, what information to ask, and whether it can be done in a nondiscriminatory fashion. 

Interactions between parents of children with disabilities and school districts can go wrong in so many ways:  refusal to evaluate a child; inadequate IEP; not carrying out the IEP; harassing or bullying the child; refusing access to extracurricular activities; and many more. This frustrates parents and students. When this happens, what can you do?

Hi, Brent. Social networking is the new way we participate in community, so many of the things we once shared at the village well or at prayer meetings are now shared online. That can be good and it can cause problems, just like old-time gossip. And social media definitely causes its share of employment problems.

GINA is 7 years old now, but she’s not a sweet little girl. The acronym stands for the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, passed in 2008, and it is intended to prevent employers from acquiring genetic information about employees and/or discriminating against them on that basis, particularly using that information in the hiring process. Sounds like a no-brainer. As we acquire more genetic information about ourselves, we don’t want it used against us.
